In Kansas City Jam. 4 AP six persons were convicted by a Federal Court jury of arranging the plot that killed Frank Nash and four officers in the Union Station plaza on June 27, 1933. The verdict came after a two hour jury deliberation. Two convicted were women. four men remain for sentencing tomorrow before Judge Merrill E. Otis.
In Rockville Md on January 4 1932 Mrs Comer testified that she loved G Frank Thomas during years ago while employed by his firm and before her marriage to Walter Comer. Thomas denied the allegations of improper conduct early in the suit noting a $4500 settlement and no renewal since 1931. Proceedings adjourned after morning testimony with later arguments scheduled.
Rev. Robert J. Ridgely of Myersville guided Federal Agents Tagg and Lemon to a hidden illicit still site in the mountains near Wolfsville, seizing a small still, 225 gallons of mash, and other equipment. Parker Wolfe and two unnamed men face hearings before U.S. Commissioner D Angle Wolfinger on illegal liquor manufacturing charges. Ridgely previously led a raid last October resulting in confiscations.
The Peoples Fire Insurance Company building at West Church and Court streets was bought by the Commerce Building and Securities Corporation of Baltimore. William C Walsh, Cumberland receiver, filed the sale ratified by the Circuit Court. The building valued at 40000 will house offices with other office relocations planned. The transaction involved reinsurance of policies and transfer of assets totaling 118000 to the new corporation in exchange for premium payments.
Incoming Governor Harry W. Nice to take oath Wednesday at noon in Annapolis. Fred erick and surrounding counties send hundreds for ceremonies. Naval Academy band opens program at 11 with a parade featuring the Hagerstown Municipal Band and Sixth District delegation.

Frederic Francois-Marsal, ex Premier and ex Finance Minister of France, sentenced to 18 months in jail for embezzlement over stockholders losses totaling about 1.944 million dollars. He previously led the Socoa board of directors and faced charges tied to war debt payments to the United States. Miss Alice Kline named to Governor-elect Nice staff in Annapolis beginning January 9 after resigning from her Dill Avenue post.
