Narrow Escape as Brick Wall Crashes at McCrory Store
A wall collapse at the Ske J. GO. McCrory and Company Five and Tem Crnt Store on North Market Street injured two workers, Danner and Bradshaw, with bricks and debris falling from the third floor. Danner sustained cuts and bruises. Bradshaw injured his knee. Casualties were treated at the scene and at Dr. Kline’s office, with both men later sent home. The 100 year old building, long deemed unsafe, was being razed for a new store by contractor Cumberland.
