Welty Gouker of Mid point was hit while walking along the highway on Christmas Eve. He suffered a fractured arm, gashes in one leg and hip, and general bruising. Ray Kline of Wolfsville drove the car. Gouker and his brother William were nearby. Gouker stepped in front of the auto and could not be stopped in time.
