FCNB Corp Opens Frederick Headquarters March 11
FCNB Corp announces its new 58 100 square foot Frederick headquarters off Crestwood Boulevard will open Monday March 11. 140 staff from three locations move into the facility with administrative offices at 1 N Market St and a new 16th full service branch adjacent to the headquarters. Ribbon cutting slated for April 9 with open house tours April 10 and 11.

Court ruling may threaten independent computer repair firms
The Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal challenging a ruling that copying software into a computer's RAM can infringe copyrights. Southeastern Express, a small repair service, had been ordered to stop servicing Triad Systems computers after a judge found that loading Triad's operating system into RAM created an illegal copy. Triad, which supplies automotive parts stores, argued the practice violated its copyrights and the appellate court upheld the injunction.
