The new chairman of Ryan Homes Inc. says his takeover of the Pittsburgh builder last year won't stop. Dwight Schar of NYHomes LP foresees acquisitions in title insurance and materials supply and expansion into upscale housing while keeping current operations. 1986 earnings were $24.6 million on $631 million sales, with 1987 touted as potentially another record year as 1,750 Ryan and 350 NVHomes employees stay on. The merged entity will keep NVHomes and Ryan separate units and name a new branding, likely NVRyan or similar.
