Parents on trial with son over marijuana at home
Marion F Brown Eleanor F Brown and son John A Brown face felony drug charges after deputies found a dish of marijuana and two marijuana cigarettes in their Fairlane Trailer Park home. Fiery death of Laurel man ruled self inflicted
A 23-year-old Laurel man, Timothy Ray Parker, was found dead in a burning pickup behind Frederick Towne Mall on December 16. State fire officials say Parker poured gasoline on himself and the front seat, then set the blaze in a truck owned by Brickman Industries. Rescue crews arrived at 9:15 a.m. but too late to save him. Parker had driven to Frederick the night before, amid personal problems, with details withheld out of respect for the family.
