Maryland drug raid nets 22 marijuana plants at Gambrill Park home

Frederick County officers from the Narcotics Task Force with Maryland State Police and the county Sheriff’s Office raid 10188 Gambrill Park Road at 7 pm seizing 22 marijuana plants, indoor growing gear, and related items. Douglas Fritz Nichols, 38, was arrested on multiple charges and released on 48000 dollars bond. Other raids Feb 15 at Ford Road and Highland School Road yielded arrests and seized marijuana and cash.

Modell Bill Forces $24 Million Payback on Stadium

City lands only bid for Carroll Creek project

Frederick officials received a single bid from Carroll Creek Plaza to develop a 21 575 square foot site along Carroll Creek. The plan calls for buying 2 443 square foot building at 558 Market Street for 200 000 dollars to create a seven story mixed use project with 92 000 square feet, including 55 000 square feet of commercial space on the first floor and 62 000 square feet of office space across floors two to five, with a six and seven reserved for condominiums. The project could be built in two phases or all at once if market demand warrants, with first phase within 1 14 years and second phase within 2 years, contingent on approvals and demand. The team includes Harris Smariga Associates as engineer and surveyor and Frederick Contractors Inc in partnership with McCleary Earley Construction as general contractor.
