Born Aug 22, 1910, he served as Sunday school teacher and elder at Grace United Church of Christ, later joined Frederick Presbyterian Church and engaged in multiple civic and fraternal roles including Masons Columbia Lodge 58 and Enoch Chapter 28 RAM. He also belonged to the Frederick County Retired Teachers Association and Rotary Club.
