A record Maryland Hampshire Swine Breeders sale drew buyers from New York New Jersey Delaware Pennsylvania Virginia and West Virginia. Top price 325 for bred gift, second high 300, top gilt at 160. Twelve Fall boars averaged 113.75 and the bred gilts average 172.50. A swine judging contest awarded prizes to 4-H and FFA contestants, with Nancy Hockenberry among top placers.

Farmers To Meet At Hagerstown Feb 26
The four state farmers meeting now rescheduled for February 26 at Franklin Court Auditorium Hagerstown features nearly all scheduled agricultural leaders. President Herman Stockslager says the dates were hard to align but officials are cooperative and eager to meet local farmers. Walter D. Hunnicutt the National Dairy Products representative cannot attend.
