Agree On Some Phases Of New By-Pass Bridge
City and Baltimore and Ohio Railroad interests reached agreement on select phases of the Frederick by-pass bridge over railroad tracks and East South Street near the M J Grove Lime Co plant after a 24 hour conference. SRC engineers will review plans before final agreement. The plan relocates East South Street near the tracks to reduce the required span and includes a highway running through the Grove block plant, which must be razed. A later meeting will address grade crossings and secondary roads near Shaw Road and Reich's Ford.
