Odd Fellows share cakes and pudding at Frederick home
Residents at the Maryland Odd Fellows Home on North Market Street enjoyed an unusual Friday lunch. Mount Pleasant Raritans members Jake Lines Bill Growden served flapjacks while Thurston Younkins and Nate Mullican dished hominy and pork pudding. About 28 residents sampled seconds and praised the dish as reminiscent of old family recipes. Younkins noted his yearly pudding tradition but could not recall why the yearly visit continues.
