Nestell Emerges As Boxing Prospect In Hollywood
Barry Amayson profiles Bob Nestell, an early 20th century welterweight who stars in Hollywood circles. Nestell, a 21 year old 265 pound fighter from North Hollywood, polishes his left hand and right hook while drawing and hunting in his spare time. He climbed from amateur success to professional debut at Hollywood Legion Stadium, defeating several noted opponents and gaining attention from promoter Jack Wilson and matchmakers like Sailor Joe Water. Nestell’s potential is weighed against famous names like Dempsey and Tunney as observers gauge if he can become a top heavyweight prospect.
