A Spring Ridge resident involved in a home incident was not charged after the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said he was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital for evaluation. A veteran’s hospital call prompted the special assault team to respond and he was taken into custody without incident after several hours.
A 24 hour fire log lists incidents including chimney fire at 650 Jefferson Pike Brunswick area with several agencies. 1000 Heather Ridge Drive Country Hill Apartments building fire. 683 Discovery Blvd inside os leak. US 15 at 22 mile marker vehicle fire. 3014 Baltimore Road structure fire. 7204 Bowers Road house fire. 32 E Main St vehicle fire. numerous ambulance responses from Walkersville Thurmont Middletown and Fort Detrick areas totaling 42 emergencies and 4 routines.
Baltimore AP reports Maryland lottery numbers drawn Friday night and Friday afternoon. Pick 3 yielded 6 1 2, Pick 4 produced 0 7 2 4, Cash in Hand numbers were 2 4 7 10 23 27 31. Friday afternoon results show Pick 3 2 9 5 and Pick 4 3 4 8 1.
A Maryland Senate committee killed a lie-detector bill that would have required polygraphs in rape investigations. Critics said it would deter victims from reporting crimes and raise trauma, while supporters argued investigators need the tool and safeguards could curb abuse. Several lawmakers warned about bias and unreliability, and the vote was 6 to 5 against advancing the measure.

Huey Leon Lamb Sr, 50, of Okolona Mississippi, faces manslaughter charges after his tractor-trailer struck a school bus on U S 50 in Easton October 31 1997. A Talbot County jury will hear the case beginning March 25. Lamb appeared in court Friday and made no statement.
