Auto Note Case in Court Before Judge
The court spent most of Tuesday hearing a suit by C. J. Wilt against Charles F Kefauver and Louis Saltzman doing business as City Motor Company. Wilt claimed Saltzman, posing as a partner, sold him a Chalmers car while taking his Columbia roadster as trade, with a note and two cash payments. Kefauver allowed Saltzman to operate under the City Motor name, and the court held Kefauver liable for fraud as an innocent party enabling Saltzman. Judge Glenn H Worthington awarded Wilt $759 after trial. Arthur D Willard represented Wilt and Alban M Wood for Kefauver.
