The remains of William C. Duvall, a prominent New York City banker born in 1847 in Hagerstown, were brought to Frederick and interred in Mt. Olivet cemetery after services in Campbell church chapel. He rose from secretary to cashier at the National Bank of Commerce, retired in 1907 after a paralytic stroke, and traveled widely with fellow financiers. He left six children. two sisters survive in Frederick.
