Hagy enters race for Frederick County sheriff
James W. Hagy of Libertytown announced his intent to run for Frederick County sheriff. The 46 year old Republican pre filed with the Election Board to begin organizing his campaign and fundraising. He has until July 5 to file formally and said changes are needed in the office. Hagy, a Maryland State Police sergeant, has spent 22 of 24 years in Frederick County and holds a Northwestern University command credential.
