Ice Gorge Forms on Monocacy River Near Biggs Ford Bridge

Middle Creek dammed by ice for a mile blocked Broad Run road, delaying clearance until a bulldozer arrives after a failed grader attempt. The Potomac receded, and local observers noted near-freezing to mild temperatures with a five day outlook predicting highs in the mid forties.
