Phillips testifies on fear as murder case unfolds

Allan Roger Phillips, 38 of Olney, tells Frederick County court he lied under police pressure while helping friend William Robert Fagan Jr. in the Deborah Fagan murder case. He anticipated jail if he lied and said fear drove his statements. the hearing reopens Wednesday as cross examination resumes.

Tidball Center Opens at Hood College to Study Women’s College Graduates

The Tidball Center for the Study of Educational Environments opened at Hood College on Tuesday. Co directors M Elizabeth Tidball and Charles S Tidball will lead research on college learning environments and the achievements of women's college graduates. The center will provide access to databases on higher education for Hood faculty, staff, and students and plans to study change in single sex colleges now admitting all sexes.
