City seeks to keep Frederick on air route
Mayor Donald B. Rice announced the city will file a petition with the Civil Aeronautics Board before March 17 to keep Frederick on the All-American Airways air transportation pattern. The filing will include surveys of industrial plants Hood College Camp Detrick and the Chamber of Commerce to show Frederick can support air service and that ground transport is inadequate.

A four story Baltimore fire trapped four residents on upper floors. Firemen helped civilians down ladders and three firefighters were overcome by smoke, treated at the scene, and returned to duty. Washington February 16 Joseph D Nunan Jr faced possible investigations by the Justice Department and Congress over his ties to nine firms with tax troubles. Grocer Beaten and Shot in Baltimore Holdup
In northeast Baltimore, 64 year old Ignatius Pullari was found dying behind his grocery counter after a holdup. He had been shot in the left side and beaten about the head and face with a gun butt.
