Senior Mark Baumgardner earns Senate Youth Program invite
Catoctin High School senior Mark Baumgardner, 17, earned admission to the U S Senate Youth Program run by the Hearst Foundation. He will join seminars with senators Cabinet members and a Supreme Court justice in Washington on March 29, meeting opening speaker Newt Gingrich. Baumgardner, a Republican with a 4.0 GPA, plans a double major in business administration and political science and aims to become a U S senator.
