Byron backs Carroll in western air quality region shift
Representative Beverly B Byron voices support to detach Carroll County from the Baltimore air quality region and link with western neighbors or Frederick, arguing Baltimore standards hurt farmland areas. She met Carroll county commissioners in Westminster and said she will study the issue in Washington hearings. She also defended opposing federal revenue sharing funds to Maryland, citing state surplus but noting counties rely on funds.
