Raymond E Creager Dies at 87 Leader in Thurmont Community
Raymond E Creager veteran businessman and civic leader died Friday February 15 at Frederick Nursing and Convalescent Center. Born January 28 1889 in Thurmont he was a long time owner of Creager Funeral Home the oldest in Frederick County and of Creager Furniture Store. He served as a charter member of several local and state organizations and was a World War I veteran and 32nd degree Mason. He retired in 1977 and his obituary continues on pages 4 and 5.

Frederick City police arrested Holmes Bond, 23, of 7 Magnolia Ave, on a warrant charging first degree rape for a Dec 10 1979 assault on an 18 year old Frederick girl in the 600 block of Fairview Avenue. Bond is jailed on 90000 bond for rape 8500 for assault 200 for false imprisonment and 900 for use of a handgun.
