Beall urges aggressive plan to fix foreign aid and trade
Sen J Glenn Beall Jr outlines a program to solve U S foreign trade problems through administrative and tax reform. He advocates moving embassy economic staff to the Commerce Department, creating an undersecretary for international commerce, and boosting export incentives while examining anti trust and tax laws to spur domestic production for export. He compares U S decline in world export share with West Germany and Japan and warns the United States no longer holds winning hand in global trade.
