Mount Airy plans revised master plan goals
Mount Airy officials discussed the town’s master plan revision on Monday night. The 1990 plan will largely follow the 1980 framework while adding goals to protect groundwater recharge areas, preserve natural land character, safeguard streams wetlands and wooded zones, set minimum industrial lot sizes, protect downtown historic character, and expand affordable housing recreation and sewage treatment plus identify sites for new schools and a post office.

Woodsboro Fire Company rezoned to R2 in unanimous vote
