About forty-two people attended from Garrett Allegany Washington Frederick Carroll Baltimore Anne Arundel Howard Calvert Montgomery. Mary McElroy daughter of Kansas City city manager H F McElroy was taken from a Chicago bus in Normal at 11 p m for police questioning after she vanished from her Kansas City home late last night. She said the escape was prompted by fear of penalties on three men convicted of her abduction years ago.

Major Shepard Cleared of Poisoning Charge by Jury
In Topeka Kansas on February 11 AP reports Major Charles A Shepard retired army tuberculosis specialist was acquitted of charges that he poisoned his second wife Zenna to marry Grace Brandon. The trial followed a 1930 conviction and a Supreme Court granted new trial. Zenna died June 15 1929 at Fort Riley after a troubling illness cited as despondent behavior.

Frederick High School Band to perform third concert for uniform fund
The Frederick High School Alumni Band will give its third concert tonight at 745 oclock in the school auditorium conducted by Prof. S Fenton Harris. Henry Keller will be soloist with a program including Sousa Stradella Flotow Hayden Wagner Strauss and others. Proceeds benefit the band uniform fund. The committee includes Sperry L Storm and H David Hagan among others. The alumni band roster lists numerous trumpet clarinet saxophone and trombone players. Stolen Cars Recovered In Frederick After Thefts
Two automobiles stolen in Frederick within weeks were recovered soon after, abandoned with no clues to the thieves. Isaac Bender’s Pontiac was found within ten minutes by Officer Andes on East Church street after 1220 o clock theft. transmission torn, door unlocked. Thomes Eaves of Ceresville had a car stolen from West Church Street near the courthouse. state police later recovered it abandoned near Feagaville.
