Advertises Dr Chase's Blood and Nerve Food as a tonic restoring blood quality and nerve force. Claims to cure exhaustion from overwork worry and disease, improving vigor and vitality for the aged and convalescent. Sold for 50 cents by Clinton B E Malin, druggist, Frederick Maryland.
Philadelphia pitcher Rube Waddell is wanted on assault charges following a dispute over a board bill. He allegedly attacked his father in law Edward Ross with a flauiron and knocked Mrs Ross to the floor, causing injuries including the loss of six teeth. Police report he left town and headed to Lyon after packing his trunk.
The London Privy Council reversed Justice Caron's rulings in the Gaynor and Greene extradition case. It ordered respondents to pay costs of the appeal and criticized Caron's handling of the remand, arguing a remand warrant cannot be treated as a nullity when evidence is to be presented. The case involved John F. Gaynor and Benjamin D. Greene, indicted in Savannah in 1899 for embezzlement and defrauding the U S government in river and harbor contracts with Illicit profits estimated at 2,000,000.

W. Voat of Ratue Creek Michigan filed with Senate President pro tem Frye a petition seeking the expulsion of Senator Thomas C. Platt of New York. The charge alleges Platt as head of United States Express conspired to fix rates and monopolize express business to defeat anti trust bills. The petition claims express firms profit at public expense and that Platt uses his Senate influence to block relevant legislation.
