The Nevsky prospect in St. Petersburg saw repeated clashes between czarist troops and workers. Mounted soldiers charged a crowd, causing numerous casualties as the broad street hosted demonstrations and fittings for military presence.
Atsust W. Machen former head of the free delivery system and Diller H. Groff and Samuel A. Groff of this city were sent to the Moundsville Virginia penitentiary for two years. They were handcuffed and accompanied by guards as 11 other convicts rode with them. Locals offered sympathy and money, while a letter carrier voiced support from thousands of workers.
The notice promotes Newbro's Herpicide as the only hair preparation that destroys the dandruff germ. It claims dandruff causes most hair trouble and promises instant itch relief, gloss, and softness. Sold by druggists with samples available by mail from The Herpicide Co. Detroit. J A Williamson is named as special agent.

He traveled via Chesapeake City Baltimore and New York while enlisting in a train crew before reaching Philadelphia. A separate drowning accident near Mount Holly New Jersey claimed Shina Rabtinger and her sister in law Mrs. Murray when they attempted to cross a pond and fell in the water. The Daily Telegraph notes the Ottoman Sultan faced a French ultimatum over loans to arm Turkish artillery and Panama canal workers resigned over low salaries with engineers rehired to supervise rail construction.
Senate action ends with Oklahoma admitted and Indian Territory joined while Arizona and New Mexico are eliminated. A substitute extends liquor prohibition to 21 years in the new combined Oklahoma state area amid debates over Mormon and polygyamy questions. Public demonstrations accompany the passage.
A blizzard and Arctic conditions cripple the Damara near Musquodoboit Harbor. Eighty-four aboard, including captain and passengers, were forced into lifeboats. Nuttall led 18 crew to shore. 14 crew and 4 passengers remain missing. Survivors report freezing temperatures and harrowing waves as the vessel split and sank near the Musquodoboit Ledge.
