In Philadelphia AP report, 7 executive defendants from large electric firms including General Electric and Westinghouse received 30 day jail terms for federal antitrust violations. Sentences accompanied fines totaling 8225,500 to 21 companies and 109,000 to 36 individuals with most pay suspended five year probation. judge condemned the conduct as a vast economic betrayal.
