Maryland diocese moves to elect suffragan bishop
The Episcopal Diocese of Maryland plans to elect a suffragan adjutant bishop as part of a record 1957 budget process. Delegates from 127 churches and missions, including 8 clergy and 7 lay members, were chosen to stand for the General Convention post. If approved, the move initiates a multi-year procedure to create a coadjutor bishop under the Rt. Rev. Harry Lee Doll.
