Ski patrol missing on slopes at Wisp area prompts safety critique
Three Frederick friends report no ski patrol on Wednesday at Wisp in Western Maryland. The lone patroller, Frank Fedorka, holds only a Red Cross first aid card and works to inspect 19 trails, with 13 not visible from the lodge. Local officials say areas should staff patrols to supervise trails, assist injuries, and return last down when lifts stop.
