Plan to close gap between producer and consumer debated
A county Farm Bureau may consider a plan to shrink the gap between producers and consumers with support from the Farmers Association and Grange. A Farm Bureau member urged timely work on a city bureau of information to list for sale items and direct purchasing, potentially eliminating middlemen to benefit both sides. The idea aligns with cooperative marketing and would be explored by the new Farm Bureau. The Doubs School Parents Teachers Association held a January 31 meeting at Manor Hall with community singing, business discussion, and readings.
