Railroad into history at Western Maryland museum
The Western Maryland Railway Museum in Union Bridge preserves a once vast network from Baltimore to Elkins with artifacts, photos, and displays. Volunteers led by Bob Shives keep three rooms of memorabilia, plan expansion to the passenger station, and operate Sundays 1 to 4 p.m. with ongoing fund raising for the mortgage and archives.
