Fire Loss At Inwood Damages State Farmers Market
Fire at the State Farmers Market in Inwood West Virginia on Monday night caused extensive damage. Officials estimated losses up to 200000 with the Musselman packing firm reporting 125000 to 150000 in losses including crates and cartons. The state insured the building for 35000 but its value was about 75000. Firefighters from Martinsburg Charles Town and Clear Brook arrived as flames engulfed the structure.

Mothers' March Tops Frederick Fund Drive Totals
Soroptimists of Freder ick led the Mothers' March door to door fund drive for polio, gathering 622.31 dollars the largest of the night, part of a 2738 total at Frederick town Savings Institution. Braddock Heights contributed 148.54 dollars, with other help from Girls Scout Troop 15 and St. John's High School. Milton? Mrs Kefauver chaired, Mrs Kiriakou co chaired, while Junior Women's Club added 195.87 and Charles Murphy collected 209.12 from southeast Frederick. Walkersville gave 155, plus a February 9 benefit dance to boost the fund. County chairman Mrs. Lewis notes additional communities yet unreported and asks contributors to call Vinewood 54611. Frederick County Pomona Grange meets Saturday at Lewistown Community Hall with E Earl Remsberg presiding. Karl Nagel will speak in the afternoon.
