James E. Doub known as Tater will retire from the Post Office rural route after thirty years of service. Starting in 1946 as a city carrier, he moved to a rural route twelve years later for health. On route 5 he makes about 465 stops daily for 500 boxes, with up to 12 hour days starting at 3 am and 8 am to sort 2,500 pieces of mail.

Second Youth Charged in High's Dairy Robbery
Kenneth Wayne Dotson, 19, of Baltimore, was arrested on a Frederick warrant for the January 25 armed robbery of Highs Dairy Store on East Patrick Street. He is held in Frederick County Jail on a $5,000 bond after Baltimore City Police arrested him Monday. A second youth, about 17, was charged Saturday and turned to juvenile authorities. The robbers forced clerk Mrs. Mary Cason to lie on the floor and fled with over $100.
