Desert Shield and Panama war work define Fort Detrick in 1990
Fort Detrick personnel supported Panama operations in January and the Desert Shield buildup in August and December. USAMRIID pursued Marburg and other vaccines, while logistics offices stocked ships and hospitals. The base expanded with new satellite dishes and space for LAIR as US and Soviet lines were upgraded.
