Frederick County Blood Quota Increased for 1964

Burning of the Greens slated for Monday in Frederick
Frederick's annual Burning of the Greens will be held Monday at 7 p.m. in Husky Park. The Order of the Arrow conducts the event with Father Paul F. Genovese of St. John's Catholic Church to speak. An estimated 6 000 to 10 000 trees will be burned collected January 2 to 6 by the City Sanitation Department. Four Scouts will light the fire under leaders Steppen Hood and Galen Hahn. Collection areas cover North East and West Patrick streets Linden Hills South area January 2 and 6 plus East and West Church streets January 3 and Sixth Street northward January 4 and 5. A fire engine will be on site and Wayside Radio Service provides the public address system.

U S Air Force to Withdraw 3500 from Japan

Youth Charged In Dance Cutting
State Police charged 16 year old Arthur A. Leveronne of Walkersville with being a juvenile delinquent after a stabbing outside Walkersville Elementary School during a Saturday teenage dance. The victim, also 16, was treated for a small flesh wound at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Trooper Crutchley investigated and Took Leveronne to the hospital.
