Congress harpoon on communists lingers through courts
The 1950 Internal Security Act aimed to force the Communist party to register as a Russian agent and reveal its officers. Despite early court rulings affirming the act, the party resists registration, prompting a long legal battle through appeals and potentially to the Supreme Court, with outcomes uncertain into 1955 or 1956.
