Kefauver To Head Bureau Amid Farm Bureau Meeting
The Frederick County Farm Bureau elected Noah E. Kefauver president at Frederick High School. Twenty delegates were named to the state convention, and twelve resolutions were adopted, including one to have the county school board appointed by the county commissioners. Paul G. Geisbert was elected vice president and a slate of directors named. A speaker from the American Federation urged farmers to produce for the open market and criticized surplus supports. Delegates to the Maryland Farm Bureau convention in Baltimore were chosen, and a reorganization followed lunch. Women’s group delegates were also selected.
