Thurmont man killed in U.S. 15 crash near Frederick
Maryland State Police continued their investigation into a Friday night crash on U.S. 15 that killed 22 year old Jeffrey Dwayne Black of Thurmont. Black died after his 1992 Chevrolet pickup was struck by a 1987 Saab driven by James Roger Powell of Darien Connecticut. Powell’s vehicle struck Black's as it crossed onto US 15 from North Franklinville Road. Powell suffered no major injuries. Trooper JL Kissner led the investigation.
