Fire damages Andalusia apartments near District line
A smoky blaze at the Andalusia Apartment left nine families homeless as six upper-floor units burned and three ground floor units suffered smoke and water damage. Two firemen and two women were treated for smoke inhalation at Prince Georges County Hospital as DC and nine Maryland units helped tackle the three-building fire. In Frederick County, Mt. Airy fire crews battled a Christmas Eve farmhouse blaze causing about 300 dollars in damage to a barn partition behind the chimney after the occupants awoke to smoke.
