Beck targets gas tax hike and mass transit funding plan
Delegate Ray Beck and Senate Minority Leader Edward Mason criticize the Hughes Administration for a four percent gas tax increase and push a two bill plus joint resolution program to fund mass transit. Their plan ports local subsidies on Metro Washington and Baltimore rail and enables a one cent local sales tax, plus a study committee to address transportation funding amid mounting deficits and rising project costs.
