Dr Thomas Honored by Frederick State Police Barracks
Dr. B C Thomas known as Dean of Frederick Medicine was named the number one citizen and friend of the Frederick Barracks of State Police. A plaque of 41 bronze plates honoring patrolmen was presented by Captain William E O Hara at lunch at the barracks. The 82 year old physician, county medical examiner for over a decade, helped found the Emergency Hospital at Monticello in 1924 and delivered many babies there until 1955. His sons Dr B O Thomas Jr and Dr James B Thomas practice in the Frederick area.

Thieves in the Frederick area stole three autos during the early hours. A 1951 sedan owned by Arthur Crumbaker was found abandoned on East Patrick Street. A 1964 sedan owned by Joe L.
