Fire destroys ten room house near Bartonsville
A fire early today leveled a ten room house on Himes road near Bartonsville. Raymond West family, including two grandchildren, lost all possessions and Christmas gifts. West, 72, was carried from the building by neighbors as firefighters battled the blaze in freezing conditions. Loss estimated between 10,000 and 12,000. efforts aided by New Market and Independents crews, with aid from Salvation Army and Red Cross.
