Stone chapels invite simple Christmas Eve worship
Eyler's Valley Church near Sabilasville and Fairview Chapel at Boyers Mill Road draw crowds with candlelit services echoing bygone days. Eyler's Valley offers five to six events with live music from choirs and soloists in a small 1850s-era one room stone setting. Fairview Chapel, a United Methodist site, lists four candlelit services led by visiting pastors, with child-focused 5 pm and late 11 pm observances and special gifts for children. Seats are limited and heaters supplement the space as parishioners gather for a traditional, quieter holiday observance.
