Lewis acquitted in Prince Georges gambling case
William Snags Lewis and seven co defendants were acquitted in a Prince Georges County Circuit Court trial on gambling charges after defense counsel moved, saying the state's evidence was insufficient. Eleven others in the same case were convicted of operating a lottery and await sentencing on January 2 under $2000 bond each.
