Frederick Woman's Civic Club held its December meeting at Steiner House with Mrs. Wallace Hutton presiding. A luncheon by Home Life Department featured turkey and cranberry sauce. Gov Thomas Johnson High School Senior Chorus, directed by Mrs. Lena Mullican, performed traditional and modern carols and Handel's Messiah selections.

The Frederick Bridge Club met last Monday for a regular game with North-South winners Dr. Leonard Spero and Dr. Walter Snow leading the field, followed by Evelyn Krantz and Dorsey Shipley, then Robert Middlemas and wife, and Robert Poleto with Marlowe Cline. East-West top duo was Mrs. Everett Neff with James Dukes, then Nathan Jacobson, then Charles Arotsky with J Weldon Harper, and Manuel Weinberg with Donald Crawford. A regular game and Christmas party are planned for 7 15 pm at the Fort Detrick Officers Club.

35th Anniversary Couple Honored in Sjamsville
Mr. and Mrs. Ryland W. Houston of Sjamsville were honored November 21 for their 35th wedding anniversary with an open house at their daughter Mrs. John McDowell's home. About 25 relatives and friends attended from the area and out of town. The couple married November 19, 1936 in Virginia. Evelyn Beazley Houston is her maiden name. They formerly lived in Caroline County, Virginia. they have one daughter and two grandchildren.

Miss Reka Feketekuty will direct spring dance instruction at Shepherd College in the Division of Health and Physical Education. She teaches part time, comes from Wilson College in Chambersburg Pennsylvania, and holds a 1964 degree from Dominican College and an MFA from the University of North Carolina 1970. She is a Budapest native with schooling in Munich and is a member of the Cumberland Valley Arts Association and Theatre Association of Pennsylvania.
