Burkittsville Officials Oppose Reapportionment
Burkittsville Mayor Lawrence Way and the council passed a resolution opposing a county reapportionment that would split Frederick County. They will send letters to Frederick County delegates and officials to protest the plan. Mayor Way also outlined steps against increased tax assessments and announced park ground appraisals. A new Woodsboro planning member was named, and police patrols were requested to ease Friday traffic.
