Progress Over The Years Firemen In Jefferson
Jefferson firemen trace the Braddock Heights lineage to a long standing hand pump era. Records show two 30 gallon hand drawn chemical tanks stored near the Crum house later removed during renovations by current owner C. Harold Lewis. The relic tanks now rest in the Jefferson Fire Hall. The Jefferson hall once served as a Methodist Church and later hosted by Summers brothers with rent covered by the Jefferson Ruritan Club. The present Jefferson company became a Braddock Heights sub station in 1958.
