Frederick City Approves 1957 Budget With 1.55 Tax Rate
Frederick Aldermen pass the 1957 budget setting a 1.55 per $100 rate. The total general fund is 3,025,571 with 236,000 for water and sewer, plus 161,000 in bonded debt payments. Special appropriations total 21,850 to outside agencies and services. A Fire Equipment Trust Fund is created to finance future equipment purchases.
