County residents injured in late night crash near Chewsville
Washington county residents and Thurmont visitors were hurt when cars driven by Ralph Sharer and Mrs Mildred Bautsta collided head on on Maryland 64 about a quarter mile west of Chewsville. Admitted to Washington County Hospital were Irene Bautsta with multiple injuries, Irene Vera with facial lacerations, Joseph Vera age 12 with a scalp wound. Franklin A Ridenour of Thurmont and Ralph Sharer were treated for knee laceration and fractured nose respectively in the emergency room.
